Redesigning Services

Service redesign is an approach to improving outcomes and efficiency in health by developing whole patient pathways. There are a huge number of tools for service redesign and there may also be an agreed local approach as part of a wider programme.

All innovations include some elements of service redesign; however, service redesign can be innovative with the primary focus being on how we deliver patient care as a process. This section looks at service redesign innovations that the Clinical Innovation Adoption team is supporting.

Mechanical thrombectomy stroke treatment
Preventing catheter acquired urinary tract infections (CAUTI)
Supporting the implementation of FallSafe care bundles
Preventing atrial fibrillation related stroke
Fragility fractures
Alcohol misuse
Improving outcomes for early inflammatory arthritis patients
